MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Football wrapped up its 2024 spring practices Saturday with the annual spring game inside Hancock Whitney Stadium.
The Jaguars spent the day scrimmaging, participating in various drills and competing in different games and challenges.
"We had a good spring," said South Alabama head coach
Major Applewhite. "I thought we introduced the way we want to practice and made it about our fundamentals, our strain to finish, played through adversity and stuck to the same message in terms of what we wanted our players to focus on. We had a few new guys added at the semester that we got to see things from at some positions on defense and offense that we needed to fill. But coming away from it, I thought we had a great spring."
In addition to the spring game, South also hosted its annual yard sale, which allowed fans to buy helmets, shoes and other various items of team gear.
The Jags will now shift their attention to the 2024 schedule, which opens with a home game against North Texas on Saturday, Aug. 31. Fans can renew or purchase season tickets for the upcoming season at
