MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama will head out on the road this weekend for its first Sun Belt Conference road series as the Jaguars will take on ULM in a three-game series. First pitch for the series opener is set for Friday at 6 p.m. at the ULM Softball Complex, while games two and three of the series are scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon, respectively.

The Jaguars were swept by Louisiana on the opening weekend of league play, while ULM took two of three at Southern Miss, but fell 3-2 at home to Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday night. 

Gabby Stagner currently leads the team with a .358 batting average and her .765 slugging percentage is fourth-best in the Sun Belt. She is tied for fourth in the league in doubles (9) and home runs (6), while tied for the SBC lead in triples with three, and of the junior's team-high 29 hits on the year with 18 of those going for extra bases.

The six home runs have already matched a season-best for Stagner set each of her first two seasons as a Jag. The Mobile, Ala., native also leads the team with 23 RBI and she has scored 18 runs. 

Mackenzie Brasher (.302) ranks second on the team at the plate, and leads the team in runs scored (20) and stolen bases (16). Brasher's 16 steals are second-most in the SBC, just one behind league leader Lourdes Bacon (17, ULM), and she is tied for 15th nationally. 

Stagner and Brasher are tied for the team lead with seven multi-hit games, while Stagner's five multi-RBI efforts lead the club.

Olivia Lackie (10-5) holds a 1.88 earned run average and has struck out 107 batters - which leads the conference - while holding opponents to a .185 batting average, fourth-lowest in the SBC. Lackie ranks fourth nationally in strikeouts and her 10 wins are 17th most in the country.
