HARRISONBURG, Va. – South Alabama's rally on the road fell short, dropping the contest with the James Madison Dukes 82-66 in Harrisonburg.

The Jaguars led the Dukes 59-58 with eight to play in the contest, but late momentum from James Madison led to a 24-7 run against the Jaguars, allowing them to close the game and earn the win.

Three Jaguars finished in double figures in the road contest, with
Jordan Rosier pacing the squad with 18 points.
Michiyah Simmons added 14 of her own, with
Kelsey Thompson tacking on 13.

Rosier led the squad in scoring for the fifth time this season and totaled her 10
th double figure game of the year. Simmons recorded her 12th and Thompson totaled her 15
th, which leads the team.

Emani Burks led the team in rebounding for the fourth time this season, bringing down eight.

The Dukes of JMU had four finish in double figures, with the attack led by Peyton McDaniel with 22 points. Kseniia Kozlova added 21 points to the team total, while Ashanti Barnes added 11 and Hevynne Bristow tacked on 10.

Kozlova and Bristow recorded double-doubles in the contest, with Kozlova bringing down 11 and Bristow adding 10 boards of her own. The contest was the second time this season a Jaguar opponent has had two players with a double-double.

South Alabama held the advantage in two of three shooting categories in Wednesday's contest finishing the night shooting 31.8% from behind the arc and 81.1% from the stripe, compared to 22.2% and 66.7% from JMU. The Dukes led in field goal percentage, shooting 44.9% compared to South's 34.7%.
