Jackson Announces Two Signees for the Fall Class

MOBILE, Ala.- Head coach Yolisha Jackson announced the addition of Jerriyah Baines and Miyah Holmes to the fall recruiting class.

Jerriyah Baines- Saint Louis, Mo.- Forward

Yolisha Jackson on Jerriyah Baines, "We're really excited to have Jerriyah Baines join our program next year. She's a kid that brings a lot of motor and physicality. She's one of those kids that can play any position 1-4. She can grab it off the rim and lead the break and she can sit down and guard anyone 1-4. Her explosiveness when she goes to attack the rim is pretty good. We're just overall impressed with how hard that kid works. With her motor, she never stops. She rebounds at any area and her personality is going to be one that the fans fall in love with".

Baines hails from Saint Louis, Missouri and plays for Legion Prep Academy. The forward has established herself as an all-around player who can contribute at any position.

Miyah Holmes- Carrollton, Ga.- Guard

Yolisha Jackson on Miyah Holmes, "We saw her super early when we got here. She brings some length to the perimeter. She is a two-level scorer, being able to finish at the rim and shoot the three. Over time we are going to develop that mid-range game for her. She is long, she can block shots and again she brings a really high motor. From a character standpoint, the kid is awesome. She played on a championship team in high school so we are looking forward to her bringing that winning mentality to our program".

Miyah Holmes brings with her a championship mentality and some much-needed length for the Jags. Holmes plays for Carrollton High School in Georgia and has proved to be a solid two-level scorer that brings a strong dynamic to the team.
