Jags close out Cross Country Season in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Men placed 19th at the NCAA South Regional led by Sacha Perrier, with the women's team finishing 25th by way of Charleen Elizondo's top 100 finish.

Sacha Perrier led the men's team placing 58th in his 10k run, while Charleen Elizondo finished the season with a top-100 position in the 6k.

On the womens' performance
I think this was our best team race of the year. We competed at the higher end of our ability and got wins against teams we hadn't all year. Finishing over a rival like UAB is always welcomed. We were patient and consistent. A couple runners didn't have their best results but others picked up slack. I thought Macy (Livingston) ended her collegiate cross country career with a great finish that really set the team up well today.

On the mens' performance
I think we ran alright today; our best performance was at the conference championships. We had a good race plan and ran well early on but finished a bit flat.We gave what we had. I think there are things to work on going forward into next year with how we prepare for a longer distance like the 10k.
