MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama returns to The Cage this week, closing out the nonconference schedule by hosting Mississippi State on Thursday, Sept. 7 and UAB on Sunday, Sept. 10.

South's matchup with the Bulldogs of Mississippi State will kick off at 7 p.m. and Sunday's match vs. UAB will be Senior Night and the match will kick off at 5 p.m.

- The Jags are 6-0 to start the season, the best start in program history.
- South has outscored its opponents 24-2.
- Jasmine Greene has been named the SBC Offensive Player of the Week, following a multi-goal weekend.
- Seven Jaguars have scored multiple goals on the season, with Gabby Hollar and Jasmine Greene leading the pack with five each. Chiara Singarella is close behind with three goals on the year, while Gracie Wilson, Amber Fortenberry, Kailey Littleford and Melina Descary have two each.
- In addition to the multi-goal Jaguars, three other Jags have found the back of the net: Irene Campo, Monique Gray and Gabriela Angulo, moving the Jaguar goal-scoring total to 10 players on the season while 13 Jaguars have recorded points this season.
- South has 10 international student-athletes on the roster this year.
- South returns 14 from last year's roster, adding 13.

- Mississippi State is 4-1-1 on the season, with a loss to Iowa.
- The Bulldog offense is lead by Aitana Martinez-Montoya, who has three goals on the season.
- Mississippi State returned their leading scorer from a year ago, Maggie Wadsworth (8 goals).
- The Bulldogs went 12-4-6 overall last season and made an NCAA appearance, beating New Mexico State in the first round, but losing to Memphis in the second round.
- Martinez-Montoya was ranked No. 66 in Top Drawer Soccer Top-100 Player Rankings.
- Kennedy White was named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List.
