MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama opens Sun Belt Conference play this weekend, traveling to Hattiesburg for a Sunday afternoon match with Southern Miss.
 
Kick off is set for 1 p.m. and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.

• The Jags finished non-conference action 7-0-1, the first time in program history the Jags were undefeated in non-conference games.
• Gabby Hollar leads the Jags and the conference with six goals on the season.
• The Jags lead the conference in total goals (28), scoring offense (3.50), total points (79) and shots on goal per game (11.25).
• The Jags are also fourth in the nation in total goals.
• The Jags also lead the conference with a 7-0-1 (.938) record.
• Chiara Singarella leads the SBC in assists with four. Hollar also leads the conference in total points (14) and goals per game (.75)
• South has outscored its opponents 29-3 in non-conference action.
• The Jags are ranked 6^th in the nation for scoring offense (3.50)
• South has 10 international student-athletes on the roster this year.
• South returns 14 from last year's roster, adding 13. 

Southern Miss Notes

• Southern Miss is 3-4 on the season.
• They have totaled 12 goals on the year, while allowing 13.
• Adaria Nakano has been named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week, following a hat trick performance vs Nicholls last weekend.
• Southern Miss faced four SEC schools this season, going 0-4 in those matches, falling to Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia and Alabama.  

Series History vs Southern Miss

• South Alabama is 10-6 all-time vs Southern Miss, and 1-0 against the Golden Eagles as conference foes. The last meeting came last season, where South Alabama go the 8-1 win ovee Southern Miss in Mobile.
