MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's soccer fell 5-2 Monday night in their first preseason exhibition of the season.

Samford struck first, scoring in the 22
nd minute. The Bulldogs added to their total five minutes later, making it a 2-0 game.

Jasmine Greene, the Sun Belt Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, got the scoring started for the Jaguars in the 33rd minute off an assist from
Gracie Wilson. Greene found the back of the net again just three minutes later, tying the game at 2-2.

Samford went on to add three more goals on the night, taking a 5-2 win in the exhibition.

Samford led the Jags in shots, taking 11 to South's four.

The Jags played two keepers Monday night, returner
Jaidy Gutierrez Campos and freshman
Jaidin Kinch.
