JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | The NCAA East Preliminaries get underway Wednesday morning on the campus of the University of North Florida, and South Alabama will be in action.
Returning All-American
Kyle Rademeyer will compete in the pole vault in the first flight beginning at 6:30 pm. He enters the meet with the second-best height in the region at 5.82 meters, with the facility mark standing at 5.41 meters set by Tyler Loontjer of Nebraska back in 2021.
Kendal White hits the track in the 400-meter hurdles at 8:20 pm in heat six with 24 runners advancing to the next round, the top three in each heat plus the next six fastest times. He qualified for the meet with a time 51.76 seconds.
Meanwhile,
Kirami Yego will hit the track at 9:10 pm in the 10,000 meters where he has the fourth-best in the at 28:22.94 entering the meet. The facility record is 28:29.97 set in 2021 by Alex Masai of Hofstra, while the collegiate record is 27:08.39 set in 2010 by Sam Chelenga of Liberty.
