MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama (26-13, 8-4 SBC) continues its current four-game homestand this weekend with a three-game Sun Belt Conference series versus App State (20-18, 1-9 SBC).

 NOTES
•    South Alabama holds a 14-3 record at Jaguar Field this spring and has swept both its home SBC series
•    Olivia Lackie (603) enters the series one strikeout away from passing Farish Beard (603) to move into fourth on the all-time list
•    Lackie (27) is also one shutout shy of moving into a tie with former Jag All-American and current pitching coach Hannah Campbell (28, 2011-14) for second in the career category
•    Lackie has done some of her best work in the circle as she is 4-0 with a 1.00 earned run average and three shutouts, while striking out 51 batters in 28 innings of work and holding the Mountaineer batters to a .065 batting average
•    The junior struck out a career high 18 batters last season versus App State
•    Lackie enters the weekend tied with three other players for the NCAA lead in solo shutouts as she has eight this spring, while she also ranks 25th nationally in strikeouts with 145
•    As a staff, USA has a 1.87 ERA and is holding opponents to a .205 batting average, ranking second and third, respectively in the SBC in those categories, while the Jags are fourth in the conference in strikeouts (259)
•    The Jaguars' 80 strikeouts looking are second-most in the league
•    South is tied with Georgia for 10th nationally in shutouts and 12th nationally in ERA
•    Meredith Keel leads the team in hits (40), while she has scored 27 runs, recorded eight doubles and 17 RBI
•    Victoria Ortiz has 36 hits and is tied for the club lead in doubles (8), while leading the team in home runs (6), RBI (33) and 64 total bases
•    Keel leads the team with 11 multi-hit games, while Ortiz has 10 multi-hit outings and 10 multi-RBI games this spring
•    Ortiz is riding a career-best 16-game reached base safely streak and ranks among the SBC leaders in RBI (sixth), while the Mobile native, Keel and Gabby Stagner are tied for 10th in doubles
