South Alabama to begin four-game road swing Tuesday night at Nicholls

MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama will head back out on the road this week as the Jags begin a four-game road swing Tuesday night with a midweek contest at Nicholls. First pitch versus the Colonels (17-10, 4-2 SLC) is set for 5 p.m. at Swanner Field.

South Alabama (19-9, 3-0 SBC) enters the midweek match up at Nicholls after opening Sun Belt Conference play with a three-game sweep of Georgia State.

The Jags opened the series with an 8-0, six-inning victory in game one and then clinched the series with a 4-3 walk-off victory over the Panthers in game two. On Sunday, GSU jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first inning-and-a-half, but the Jags rattled off nine unanswered runs, which was highlighted by a seven-run third inning to rally back and complete the series sweep with a 9-5 victory
