QUOTABLE
Head coach Terry Fowler:
Opening statement:
"Georgia Southern did what they did all year long, they won the first quarter all year in conference play and then struggled the rest of the game, building a cushion and they did that today, outscoring us 31-13. We challenged the team in-between quarters to go out and play harder, we needed to make them feel us and I thought we did that. We responded in the second and third quarters, and in the fourth quarter we had a chance, we were right there in the ballgame with a chance to win it. Free throws killed us, shooting 7-for-15 and they were able to pull up. They've got a great player in Terren Ward, she made some big shots for them. I was proud of the effort and that we were able to fight back. We've got to take this and move into Friday's game against Troy and put together a full game."
On being where the team is trending:
"I like it. Even in the locker room, we are down, we aren't into moral victories, but our kids saw the light. Looking forward to lacing them up again Friday and then moving to the tournament next week."
