NEW ORLEANS, La. – Maxime St-Hilaire, of South Alabama men's tennis, was named the Sun Belt Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. The honor is the second of St-Hilaire's career.
St-Hilaire posted a perfect singles record over the weekend, defeating Matt Pitts of Clemson 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at number three singles and downing Nebraska's Calvin Mueller 6-4, 6-4 at number two singles.
Playing from the number one position in doubles, St-Hilaire and partner
Jack Clements defeated Ryuhei Azuma and Spencer Whitaker from Clemson 6-3.
St-Hilaire has started spring action with a 5-1 record in singles.
