MOBILE, Ala. – The South Alabama men's and women's basketball programs will host their second-annual Madness at The Mitch preseason event on Tuesday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Mitchell Center on the campus of the University of South Alabama. Doors are set to open at 5:30 p.m. The event is open to the general public, and admission is FREE!

Madness at The Mitch is a preseason event that will feature skills competitions by the men's and women's basketball squads, fan participation contests, performances by the South Alabama pep band, cheer squad, Prowlers, and much more. One lucky Jag fan will also have the opportunity to win $50,000 during the Series Shoot-Out contest. The contestant will be drawn at random during the event. To enter the drawing, fans must pick up a ticket at the north or south entrances of the Mitchell Center.

The first 100 South Alabama students through the doors will receive a free "south script" t-shirt. Fans of all ages will have the opportunity to win door prizes throughout the night. Door prizes include: exclusive Jaguar basketball gear, USA Dining gift cards, and more. In order to enter the drawing for door prizes, fans will be required to pick up a ticket at the north or south entrances of the Mitchell Center. Fans are required to be present at the time of the drawing in order to win a door prize.
