MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Athletics was well-represented Thursday when the Sun Belt Conference announced its academic honors for the 2024-25 school year.
 
The Jaguars placed 127 student-athletes on the Commissioner's List, which requires a 3.5 GPA or higher. South also had 86 student-athletes make the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll by having between a 3.0 and 3.49 GPA. Additionally, USA had 11 student-athletes win the 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award, which is awarded to those who have earned a bachelor's degree in the previous year with a 3.8 GPA or higher, and participated in at least two years of intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA FBS institution.
