Jaguar women's tennis announces 2023 schedule

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's tennis head coach Dr. Jaco Keyser announced the 2023 spring schedule on Tuesday, which features 24 regular season matches, including 12 home contests at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.
 
The Jags open the season with five-match home stretch, starting with West Alabama on Jan. 22. The Jags then host Auburn-Montgomery (Jan. 27), Xavier (Jan 29), Mobile (Feb. 3) and West Florida (Feb. 5).
 
South will then hit the road to New Orleans for matches against Sam Houston State (Feb. 11) and Tulane (Feb. 12). The Jags return to Mobile to host New Orleans on Feb. 17 and Southeastern Louisiana on Feb 18.
 
The Jags hit the road for a four-match road stint, starting in Birmingham with matches against Murray State on Feb. 25 and Samford on Feb. 26. The Jags then travel to the Sunshine State for matches at Florida Atlantic (March 3) and North Florida (March 4).
 
South opens conference play at home, hosting Troy on March 11 and Georgia State on March 12. The Jags hit the road the following weekend, traveling to Arkansas State on March 18. The Jags stay on the road the next weekend, traveling to Sun Belt Conference newcomers Old Dominion (March 25) and James Madison (March 26).
 
South then hosts Coastal Carolina (April 1) and Georgia Southern (April 2), before traveling to Appalachian State on April 8 and Marshall on April 9.
 
South's final home match is April 15, where they host Southern Miss before closing out the regular season on the road at Louisiana on April 22.
 
The Sun Belt Tournament will be held in Peachtree City, Ga. from April 27-20.
