MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama pole vault specialist
Kyle Rademeyer will participate in the New Mexico Open this Friday and Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M.

The newly-named Sun Belt Indoor Men's Field Athlete of the Week will compete against top opponents from around the country at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Rademeyer's height of 5.48 meters in the Samford Invitational last weekend ranks as the 10
th highest recorded height in NCAA Division I this season.

The pole vault events will take place on both days, with the "B" group competing on Friday at 5 p.m., and the "A" group will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

- The University of New Mexico will host the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 10 and 11, also held at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
- Rademeyer has the top mark in the Sun Belt for the pole vault this season at 5.48 meters.
- He owns the four highest pole vault clearances in school history, and seven of the top eight.
- He recorded the school record (5.60 meters) in the NCAA Championships last season, where he placed sixth and earned All-America honors.
