QUOTABLE
Head Coach Terry Fowler:
Opening statement:
"It's been the same old thing for the last four or five ball games, we've been in the 40s. We just aren't able to put the ball in the basket. We were able to hold them to 63, but we gave up 23 offensive rebounds, and if we can reduce that number, we probably got them in the 50s and we just need to score some points to give ourselves an opportunity to win a ballgame. We put them to the line too much tonight, they got 29 opportunities. We've just got to find a way to put the ball in the basket. I thought our defense was good, we've just got to capitalize on some opportunities. We had some two-on-one opportunities, and we didn't capitalize. Just gotta get back to it. We have a one-day prep to get ready for Texas State."
On being almost there so many times:
"We just need a couple of shots to fall from a couple of people, that would really help us. If we could get a couple of timely shots to fall, and we haven't been able to have that. We get to nine, then they go down and get two offensive rebounds and hit a three, and it's back to 12, then we don't score and they get another shot and it's back to 14. We've got to capitalize on the opportunities when we get them. We just aren't getting any breaks anywhere. There's a loose ball here and there and it's not bouncing our way, but can't depend on that, we've gotta go make things happen to get some of those breaks."
