TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of South Alabama men's tennis team ranked sixth and Sébastien Collard ranked 15^th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southern Region, the ITA announced on Wednesday.
 
South Alabama finished sixth in the ITA Southern Region, making them the second-highest ranked team in Alabama.
 
Collard, who is 15th in the singles rankings, is the highest-ranked Sun Belt Conference player and the fifth-highest ranked player in Alabama.
 
"We had another good year. They guys worked hard and we had great results, especially towards the end of the year when it mattered the most. We fell just short of winning our 4th SBC title in a row, but my guys gave everything they had and I'm really proud of them," Head Coach Nick Brochu said. "Sebastian has been working really hard since last summer. I'm glad he gets recognized for his effort. He has become a leader on the team and he is not afraid to go head to head with anybody in the region or in the country. He is knocking on the door to be selected for the NCAA's singles and I know it will come soon if he keeps up the hard work. I'm fortunate to have a guy like Sebastian on the team."
