Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On the win:
"(Tyler) Lehrmann got us off to a good start. Between Lehrmann and (Jackson) Boyd, we were eight-for-nine in leadoff outs. It's tough when you get that leadoff out. I thought Lehrmann was really good, and Jackson was really good and took us home tonight on the mound. It was a really good pitching performance tonight."
RHP Jackson Boyd
- On his performance:
"Coming out of the bullpen in that situation, you want to throw whatever pitches you have as a reliever for strikes and get ahead in the count. We've really been banking on our starters to go a good distance for the most part of the game, and the biggest part of the game is the bullpen coming in behind them – just lock down their offense and keeping our guys up in the dugout to keep that energy up."
Catcher Carter Sanford
- On his performance:
"Coach Calvi has a saying, 'Work while you wait.' Diego (Altamirano) has been so good for us, and he has been out with an injury so I just wanted to come in and provide some stability in the bottom of the order and behind the plate. I've been working hard in the cage, and I just want to help us win. Wins are important this time of year going into the (conference) tournament, and I'm just trying to help us win any way possible."
- On his home run:
"I hit a fastball up in the zone. He (Cressend) threw a pitch down in the zone, a changeup, and I knew he was going to come back with a fastball. I was glad I could put a good swing on it."
