HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The University of South Alabama track and field teams earned seven victories and broke two meet records at the Southern Miss Invitational Saturday.
The seven victories from the Jaguars were highlighted by two meet records being broken by Josh Estes (javelin) and Bodine Degli-Umberti (discus). USA took 18 top-five finishes during the final day of competition at the Marshall Bell Track Complex.Â

MEN'S/WOMEN'S FIELD NOTES
- Sebastian Loschner took home the victory in the discus with a 52.05m mark while Viktor Turek (49.46m) claimed his second top-five finish of the meet while setting a personal record.Â
- Degli-Umberti earned a victory in the discus throw while setting a meet record with a mark of 49.67m.Â
- The Jags had three top-five finishes in the hammer throw including: Colette Uys (1st/56.88m), Degli-Umberti (2nd/54.59m) and Kira Benkmann (4th/52.12m). Degli Umberti's hammer throw mark is a new personal best.Â
- Kiara Risher took her second high jump (1.73m) win of the season.Â
- Dorian Curry placed fourth in the high jump after jumping 2.07m.
- Estes set a meet record while taking a victory in the javelin with a mark of 61.16m. Cade Marty (51.89m) and Jake Wentz (50.03m) took third and fifth, respectively. Wentz's javelin mark broke his previous personal record of 49.90m.
- Taviana Williams jumped 5.56m in the long jump for third place.Â
- Loschner (16.26m) and Dimitrios Manesiotis (15.22m) placed third and fifth, respectively, in the shot put. Manesiotis's mark is a new personal best.Â
- Lucy Raynor earned her third top-five finish of the season in the shot put after placing third with a 13.34m mark. Â
MEN'S/WOMEN'S RUNNING NOTES
- Grace Wolf set a personal record while placing second in the 100m (11.96) and now holds the ninth-fastest time in program history. She also set a personal best in the 400m hurdles (1:05.09) and took fifth place.
- Josie Pry finished fourth in the 100m hurdles after clocking a time of 14.46.
- Kendal White earned his second victory of the season in the 110m hurdles with a personal-best time of 14.32 and now sits at ninth on the program all-time list. Lester Davison (14.72) finished in third place in the same event.
- Cierra Hedrick placed fifth in the 200m after posting a time of 24.83.
- Ariana Ruffin recorded a personal-best time of 57.18 and finished fifth in the 400m.Â
- Rachel Hunter took third place in the 400m hurdles after finishing the race in 1:03.80.
- The 4x100m relay team of Risher, Wolf, Ruffin, Hedrick and Kaitlyn Knight placed third with a time of 46.79.
- The 4x100m relay team of Antuan Crowder, White, Xavier Rogers and Josh Norris claimed victory after crossing the finish line in 40.88.Â
- The 4x400 relay team of Jean-Pierre Le Roux, Javon Glenn, Graham Collins and Brylan Shirley took fourth place, clocking a time of 3:33.47
