Head Coach Mark Calvi
- On clinching the series:
"It wasn't pretty, but it was. We've had seven or eight guys who have gone to Urgent Care. We're down a couple of guys on the mound, and we're moving some guys around and had some guys out of position in the infield. But our kids are prepared, they stay ready and they go hard. It's a win-anyways mindset, it doesn't matter who is there or not there. I just love the fight in our team. We got down 2-0 and it didn't look good, and then (Tyler) Lehrmann settled in and kept them (Troy) at bay for three or four innings and gave us a chance to come back and tie it up. He bent in the first, but he didn't break. I'm just proud of the way our guys hung in there and kept fighting. Eric Lin – what can you say about that kid out of the bullpen? That was just guts, competitiveness and composure on the road. This is a tough place to win against a heck of a Troy team. They've done a great job with that program. I can't be more proud of our guys."
- On Kasey Donaldson:
"We have a bunch of guys who have bought in to working while you're waiting, and Kasey Donaldson has been really big off the bench for us in the pinch-hit role. I just felt at that time in the game the matchup was best. We have some guys who are unselfish. Charles Middleton was in there, I pulled him out and he slapped Donaldson five and said, 'Let's go', and was on the rail rooting. That's the makeup you have to have to be a championship-caliber team."
