Six seniors are listed among the 2022 South Alabama softball roster, and each Monday throughout the 2022 season, one will give fans a view through their eyes as they recap the previous week. On tap this week is infielder Kennedy Cronan.
MONDAY
Monday was our off day. Most people use this day for recovery and get some school work done. For me I was at my internship most of the day and then got some class work done after.
TUESDAY
On Tuesday, we had hitting groups and weights after. This was a light practice day, but we still got our work in. The hitting we did was to prepare us for playing App State over the weekend.
WEDNESDAY
Wednesday was our travel day. We drove to Spartanburg, S.C., to stay the night instead of driving the whole way in one trip. We had dinner at the hotel that night and we all agreed that it was the best hotel dinner we ever had. So that made our travel day a lot better!
THURSDAY
Thursday morning, we got on the bus and headed to App State. When we got there we had a workout, so we headed straight to the App State's weight room. We got in a good quick lift, which felt nice after being on the bus. After weights we headed over to the field for practice. After practice we went to mellow mushroom. We were all excited about eating there, we love that place.Â
FRIDAY – GAME 1 APPALACHIAN STATE SERIESÂ
Friday morning most of the team walked to a cute little coffee shop right down the road from our hotel. After we got back from coffee we headed over to Panera for lunch. While we were at Panera eating, it started to snow outside. Most of the team had never seen snow before. After lunch, we headed back to the hotel to change for the game! It had been flurrying the whole time we were warming up, but after the first batter of the game it started snowing very hard. They had to call the game shortly after, but not until Victoria Ortiz hit a two-run home run!! We got to play around in the snow for a little bit until we went back to our hotel.

SATURDAY – SNOW DAY IN BOONE
On Saturday, we were supposed to play a double header with App State, but the weather was bad all day. Even though our games got postponed, we still made the most of the day! The people that don't get to see snow that often got to play outside when the snow started to stick. We made some snowmen and had snowball fights outside the hotel. We made the most of our snow day!
SUNDAY – GAME 1 APPALACHIAN STATE – PART II
On Sunday, we finally got to play as we were able to finish the game we started on Friday. We won 10-6! After the game, we had to rush to the airport to catch our flight. We ended up making it just in time. Overall it was a cold weekend, but we got a win out of it!
We have a big series versus Louisiana this weekend and we want to see all of JagNation out there at Jaguar Field! Hope you've enjoyed a look at my week!
