MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama's track and field team opened its outdoor season by hosting the Jaguar Opener on Saturday at Jaguar Track.
The Jags took home multiple victories and broke a flurry of personal records while hosting their outdoor season opener. South took home seven victories and swept the top three spots in the men's pole vault, women's pole vault, men's 100m and the women's 400m.

MEN'S/WOMEN'S FIELD NOTES
- Riley Caudill (3.73m/12-2.75), Ina Edstrom (3.66m/12), Alexis Gratia (3.66m/12) and Savannah Morgan (3.51m/11-6.25) swept the top four spots in the pole vault.
- Blake Ellis (4.65m/15-3), Levi Arroyo (4.50m/14-9) and Brylan Shirley (4.20m/13-9.25) all took the top three spots for the Jags in the pole vault.
MEN'S/WOMEN'S RUNNING NOTES
- Jared Peaslee took the victory in the 3000m while setting a personal record of 8:40.08.
- Lance Cunigan finished in third place and smashed his PR in the 3000m (8:43.20).
- Andonet Cheruiyot kicked off her final outdoor season with a win in the 3000m (10:58.67).
- Josie Pry won the 100m hurdles while setting a new personal-best time of 14.40 seconds.
- Kendal White placed second in the 110m hurdles (14.34) while setting a new personal best.
- Kiara Risher finished in the runner up spot in the 100m (12.05) and set a personal record.
- White also (10.38) set a PR while winning the 100m race.
