HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The University of South Alabama track & field teams are slated to compete at the Southern Miss Invitational at the Marshall Bell Track Complex in Hattiesburg, Miss., Friday and Saturday.

NOTES
- The pole vault will take place at Jaguar Track in Mobile, Ala., on Friday at 3:00 p.m. (CT). 
- Kyle Rademeyer won the pole vault (5.30m) and Noah Mumme (5.00m) finished third in the same event at last year's edition of the Southern Miss Invitational. 
- Christian Ellis claimed a victory in the triple jump with a 14.98m mark at last year's Southern Miss Invitational. 
- The Jags swept the top three spots in last year's Southern Miss Invitational hammer throw, Quinton Webb (53.47m) won the event while Francois Prinsloo (53.21m) and Viktor Turek (51.22m) placed second and third, respectively. 
- Josh Estes earned a victory at last year's Southern Miss Invitational in the javelin throw with a 57.81m mark. 
- Sebastian Loschner took home his first shot put win at last year's Southern Miss Invitational after throwing a 16.40m mark. Prinsloo (15.46m) and Dimitrios Manesiotios (14.75m) rounded out the top three in the same event for South Alabama.
