MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama men's basketball team will host Southeastern Louisiana in the first round of The Basketball Classic on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (CST) at the Mitchell Center.
 
This is the first postseason appearance for the Jaguars since the 2012-13 team made the CollegeInsider Postseason Tournament.
 
South Alabama's contest against Southeastern Louisiana has been designated as the Travis Grant Game. The Travis Grant Game is one of five games to be participated in the first round of The Basketball Classic presented by Eracism, with the winner receiving a trophy and advancing to the second round of the tournament.
 
South Alabama finished the regular season 19-11, including a 13-2 mark at home at the Mitchell Center. The 19 wins are the second-most since the 2008-09 season, Richie Riley's 2019-20 team finished the season with 20 victories.
 
The Lions wrapped up the regular season with a 19-14 record and made it to the Southland Championship before falling 73-65 to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the finals.
 
The Jaguars were led by three all-Sun Belt performers this season. Charles Manning Jr. and Jay Jay Chandler were both named second team and Javon Franklin was third team. Manning Jr. finished fourth in the Sun Belt in scoring, averaging 16.1 points per game in the regular season.
 
All games will be broadcast on the ESPN+ platforms throughout the tournament.
 
Tickets for Wednesday's first round contest will go on sale to the general public on Monday at 8:00 am online at usajaguars.com/tickets. All lower bowl seats are $15.00 and all upper bowl seating will be $10.00.
 
South Alabama Men's Basketball season ticket holders received communication on Friday about their first right of refusal and will have until Tuesday, March 15th at 12 noon to place their order for their season ticket seats. All season ticket holder amenities surrounding the game will be open, with the John Counts room being open for season ticket holders that have access to the hospitality area and 2021-2022 season parking passes being valid for Lot 401, the primary Mitchell Center parking lot adjacent to the arena.  All other lots surrounding the Mitchell Center are free to park for the general public.
