THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
- On today's performance:
"I felt pretty good. We had some good and bad. Number one, I liked how some of the guys stepped up, like Jack [Clements]. Jack had a big match at number one and stepped up and played good tennis. Seb [Collard], what I really liked about his match is that he took care of business and put the guy away quickly. Everything was going well and we were cruising and some of the guys at the end took it too easy which allowed Nicholls to come back and get back into the match. We need to work on closing matches. We need to start focusing on playing the ball and not the opponent. I think at one point, we were looking at the other guy too much and got distracted. At the end of the day, we were able to close it and win every match. So, that was good. Overall, I'm happy but once we start playing conference opponents, we can't take have those letdowns."

- On previewing LSU:
"LSU is going to be a good test. Number one, we just played Auburn. Auburn is a similar team to LSU. After seeing what happened with Auburn, gave us a lot of confidence. We were really close to upsetting Auburn and now the guys are believing that one court at a time, we can beat those big SEC teams. It's going to be interesting. We've seen some of LSU's guys in the fall but it has been awhile since we have played LSU. We don't know them so we just have to focus on us. We have to play some good tennis. We've been playing good in doubles. So, we have to just go out there and take care of our business and see how it goes."

UP NEXT
- The Jags will travel to Baton Rouge, La. on Sunday to take on LSU at 12 p.m. (CST).
