– South Alabama (1-3) enters after opening the weekend at the Tiger Classic hosted by No. 14 LSU.
– The Jags defeated Central Arkansas in the season opener, but fell twice to the Tigers and once to Illinois.
– Caroline Nichols was the lone Jag to record a hit in all four games at the Tiger Classic.
– Nichols was 5-for-10 at the plate, scored a pair of runs, drove in a run and stole a pair of bases.
– Kamdyn Kvistad, Victoria Ortiz and Mackenzie Brasher had three hits apiece over the weekend with the latter two posting a .300 average.
