NEW ORLEANS, La. | South Alabama men's basketball player
Isaiah Moore was named the Sun Belt Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Moore averaged 22.3 points per contest in the Hostilo Hoops Community Classic, leading the Jaguars to two wins. In the victory against Evansville, Moore recorded 21 points and nine assists, just one assist away from his second double-double of the season, while only committing one turnover. He followed that with 18 points on 50% shooting against Towson.
In a win against Robert Morris on Sunday, Moore scored a season-high 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting with five rebounds and four assists. He was named to the all-tournament team as a result of his impressive performance.

Moore currently sits second in the conference in points (20.7) and assists (5.7) per game. The graduate student from Temple Hills, Md. has led the Jags in scoring in six straight games and has been the top assist man in 5-of-7 contests. He is the first Jaguar player to win the award this season.
