BATON ROUGE, La. – South Alabama women's tennis finished day two of ITA Southern Regionals with four singles and three doubles wins.
Tereza Dejnozkova and Delien Kleinhans advanced to the main draw for singles after wins in the qualifying rounds, but Caroline Scheufler did not advance. Kleinhans and Dejnozkova then dropped their matches in the round of 64 and will not advance to the next round of singles.
Elysia Pool went straight to the main draw and won her match in the round of 128 and but lost in the round of 64. Luminita Tutunarnu also bypassed the qualifying rounds but dropped her match in the round of 128.
In doubles, Otoha Aoki and Dejnozkova dropped their match in the round of 64. Kleinhans and Chems Doha Zeghlouli won their match in the round of 64 and advanced to the round of 32. Kleinhans and Zeghouli also won their round of 32 match and will play in the round of 16 on Friday.
Pool and Tutunarnu won their round of 64 and round of 32 matches and will advance as well.
