MOBILE, Ala. - University of South Alabama men's tennis players Sebastien Collard, Julien Evrard, Clément Marzol and Leon Pet'ko were named to ITA Scholar-Athlete Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The men's team also earned the All-Academic award from the organization.

In order to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.

For selection of the ITA All-Academic Team award, programs must meet the following requirements: have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

Collard finished the 2020-21 season with a 20-6 overall record in singles play, including a perfect 9-0 in tournament action. In his first season with the program, Evrard finished 19-9, leading the team with 13 wins in dual matches for singles. Marzol ended his career with an 86-37 record, highlighted by being named an ITA Doubles All-American after reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals. Pet'ko added six wins in singles during his career at South Alabama.
