HAMMOND, La. –The University of South Alabama's men's and women's track and field programs shined at the Southeastern-Conference Tune Up as they recorded 33 top-three finishes at the Southeastern Track Complex Saturday afternoon. USA's senior Autavia Fluker was victorious in the hammer throw with her 67.89m performance, breaking her own Sun Belt record for the second time this season.Â

Men's Field
- Senior Rickssen Opont led the way in the hammer throw after throwing a 58.42m distance for his first win in the event this season. Opont's strong performance didn't stop there as he claimed the top spot in the shot put (17.60m). His third-place effort in the discus throw (50.70m) ranks ninth in Jaguar history.
- Redshirt freshman Francois Prinsloo secured the victory in the discus throw with a career-best 60.17m performance, with his mark being the second-best on USA's all-time list. Prinsloo also finished second in the hammer throw with a lifetime best of 57.32m.
- Junior Kob Cox took second place in the high jump with a height of 1.91m. Cox's javelin throw PR of 56.96m was good enough for a third-place finish.
- Redshirt sophomore Evans Finnorn placed second in the pole vault with a career-best height of 5.05m. His height ties for seventh on South's all-time performance list. Sophomore David Dolan followed in third place with a 4.90m jump in the same event.
- Redshirt junior Christian Ellis leaped to second place in the triple jump with a 15.09m performance.
- Sophomore Josh Estes threw a 61.84m distance in the javelin throw for the first runner-up spot.
Women's Field
- Freshman Colette Uys won the discus throw with a 48.27m mark, while freshman Bodine Degli-Umberti followed in second with a 47.99m distance.
- Senior Emilie Berge won the high jump with a 1.68m height. Sophomore Kiara Risher followed in third place with the same height, as she was .01 away from her career-best.
- Redshirt junior Hanna-Mai Vaikla secured a second-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.74m. Sophomore Rocio Chaparro set a new collegiate personal best in the same event with a 5.20m distance.
- Senior Autavia Fluker placed second in the shot put with a 14.88m mark. Redshirt junior Angeline Smit and freshman Degli-Bodine were close by in third place with their 14.10m performances.
- Sophomore Ina Edstrom's height in the pole vault (3.75m) was good enough for a third-place finish.
Men's Running
- Redshirt sophomore Hunter Appling took the title in the 110m hurdles after clocking a time of 14.14s.Â
- Senior Warno Potgieter was the top-finisher in the 800m (1:56.49) and the 1500m (3:53.86).
- Senior Onesmus Kemboi came in second place in the 1500m with a time of 3:56.70.
- Senior Javen Jackson crossed the line at 53.36s in the 400m hurdles, which was the second-fastest time in the race.
- Freshman Kirami Yego established a personal best in the 5000m after his second-place finish at 15:13.74.
- Sophomore Collin Williams ran a PR on the day, finishing third overall at 1:57.56 in the 800m.
- Redshirt freshman Lance Cunnigan placed third in the 3000m steeplechase after crossing the line at 10:04.41.
- Senior Keith Davis and junior Cam Stewart recorded personal-bests in the 200m, while sophomore Lester Davison claimed a lifetime best in the 400m hurdles.
Women's Running
- Senior Carolien Millenaar picked up her second victory in the 3000m steeplechase after running a 10:41.51 race. Millenaar also finished in second place in the 1500m with a 4:39.84 time.
- Senior Andonent Cheruiyot finished in second place in the 5000m after crossing the line at 18:29.51.Â
- Junior Shay Lee claimed second place in the 800m with a career-best time of 2:18.06.
- Redshirt junior Darnesha Harris recorded the third-fastest time of 1:03.39 in the 400m hurdles.
- Junior Silje Lindstad came in third place in the 1500m (4:48.96) and 3000m steeplechase (11:08.57).
- Sophomore Rocio Chaparro ran a PR of 14.48s in the 100m hurdles.
