– In compliance with CDC and state public health guidance, seating in Jaguar Field is socially-distanced resulting in approximately 25 percent seating capacity this spring.
– Current season tickets holders and home and visitor pass lists are the only fans allowed admittance during the season.
– Face coverings will be required for entry and at all times, except when actively eating and drinking.
– All concession stand transactions are cashless.
– As a reminder, the first row of seats behind home plate, as well as the outfield deck areas are closed to the public for the 2021 season.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
– South Alabama (17-11, 6-3 SBC) enters its two midweek games after not having played in nearly a week.
– The Jaguars are coming off a 1-0 victory over McNeese State last Wednesday in Mobile.
– Bailey Welch was 2-for-2 in the win and drove in the lone run as she also had a triple.
– Olivia Lackie came out of the bullpen to combine with Allie Hughen for the shutout. In her three innings of work, the freshman struck out four and scattered a pair of hits.
– Lackie continues to pace the club as she is 11-5 with a pair of saves on the year. In her 102.0 innings of work, Lackie holds a 1.99 earned run average with 137 strikeouts.
– She has tossed seven complete games, including fourth shutouts, while holding opponents to a .166 batting average.
– Coming into the week, she leads the conference in innings pitched and ranks second in the SBC in opponent batting average and strikeouts. She is third in strikeouts looking (33) and sixth in ERA. Her 11 wins are fourth-most in the SBC.
– The Walker, La., native is eighth in strikeouts nationally and her 11 wins are 12th-most in the NCAA this spring.
– Hughen is fourth in the league in ERA (1.93) and opponent batting average (.209), and eighth in innings pitched (58.0).
– Meredith Keel leads the team with a .378 average. She is tied for 10th in the league with 31 hits.
– Mackenzie Brasher (.338) is close behind Keel with 26 hits.
– Senior infielder Abby Krzywiecki is second on the club with a .346 batting average to go along with four doubles, three home runs and 15 RBI, which rank as second-most on the team. Her .596 slugging percentage also leads the Jaguars.
– Junior outfielder Caroline Nichols (.306) leads the team in stolen bases with eight, which is tied for ninth-most in the conference.
– Kamdyn Kvistad leads the team in extra-base hits (11), home runs (5) and holds a .585 slugging percentage.
– Junior infielder Kennedy Cronan has driven in a team-best 19 runs. She is tied for sixth in the conference in doubles with nine, which also ranks 16th nationally in that category.
– As a team, South Alabama ranks 19th nationally in doubles (43) and 48th in doubles per game (1.54).

THE SERIES VS. NICHOLLS STATE    
– South Alabama and Nicholls State have met 19 previous times in the all-time series with the Jaguars holding a 13-6 advantage.
– Nicholls State snapped South's 11-game series win streak earlier this spring on Feb. 25 when the Colonels picked up a 4-3, 16-inning win in Thibodaux. The 16-inning game marked the longest in program history.
– The Jags have won eight of the 10 meetings in Mobile.
– Over half of the games in the series have been decided with two runs or less.

– The Jaguars have faced two SLC member this season, picking up wins over Northwestern State (6-1) during the third weekend of the season in Mobile, and a 1-0 victory over McNeese State last week.
– The 11 meetings against McNeese are the third-most against a member from the league, ranking behind Nicholls State (19) and Southeastern Louisiana (14).

THE SERIES VS. TROY    
– South Alabama and Troy have met 39 previous times in the all-time series.
– The Jaguars hold a 25-14 record in the all-time series and all but two of the series meetings have come during Sun Belt Conference regular-season play.
– The two teams will also meet in Mobile during the final regular-season weekend in a two-game set on May 7-8.
