THEY SAID ITÂ
Head Coach Nick Brochu
- On doubles: "Today we had a lot to learn from yesterday. We struggled a little bit in doubles. Georgia Southern played very strong at No. 1, but we played much better at No.3. We tried a new pair today, and we reunited Louis [Delcour] and Leon [Pet'ko]. They played a very good match and beat No. 3 Florida State earlier this season. They clicked well today, and they got off to a big start. They had an early break in doubles, so that gave us some momentum. We had a good match at No. 2, with it coming down to a tiebreaker. It was a very close battle and Georgia Southern played well. Overall, we had much better doubles than yesterday, but we still have some work to do."
- On singles: "We made sure that we would take care of the little things and not looking at the big things. We were focusing on the fundamentals, and we made sure that if we did break, we had to create a gap between our opponent in the following game, and we did a great job with that. Everyone was loud on all courts and was supporting tremendously, so it was just a great day. We dominated every single position in singles, and we executed the right game plan. Overall, we bounced back from yesterday, and it was a much better day for the Jags with a great conference win."Â
