HATTIESBURG, Miss. –  The University of South Alabama men's and women's track programs will be competing in the Southern Miss Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Marshall Bell Track Complex in Hattiesburg, Miss.

NOTES
- Senior Keith Davis won the long jump with a 6.75m distance, while Josh Norris took second with a 6.59m mark in the same event at the Jaguar Opener on March 5.
- Sophomore Josh Estes posted a victory in the javelin with a 62.99m mark at the Jaguar Opener that currently ranks fifth in Jaguar history. He also won the javelin throw with a career-best distance of 63.05m at the Tiger Track Classic March 19-20. His mark currently ranks fifth on USA's all-time performance list.
- Redshirt Freshman Francois Prinsloo took home first place in the men's discus throw with a 52.81m performance at the same meet. His mark is the fourth-best in program history.
- Sophomore David Dolan moved up to third in the all-time USA records after his first-place finish in the pole vault (5.25m) at the USA Invitational.
- Senior Emilie Berge's height in the high jump (1.69m) was good enough for a second-place finish at the same meet.
- Junior Sile Lindstad's 4:33.21 time in the 1500m at the USA Invitational ranks fifth on the program's all-time performance list.
- Senior Onesmus Kemboi won the 1500m race after crossing the line at 3:59.21, while Redshirt Freshman Lance Cunnigan followed in second place with a career-best time of 4:00.50 at the same meet.
- 53 student-athletes are set to compete at the Southern Miss Invitational this weekend.
- Â The competition will begin at 3 p.m. with the women's pole vault. Running events are scheduled to begin Saturday at 12:10 p.m. with the women's 5000m.
- The pole vault portion of the meet will be held at Jaguar Track.

- On the Southern Miss Invitational: "We're going over to Hattiesburg. It's a short trip, but it'll be a good competition. Southern Miss always puts on a great meet. Training is going well, and the athletes are working hard. We want to keep heading in the right direction by seeing more personal bests and school records. We want to see them continue to improve and move onto the school's top 10 performance list."
