SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
– South Alabama (10-7) enters the midweek contest versus Ole Miss after notching the program's biggest win today date, a 1-0 victory at No. 2 Alabama Sunday on the final day of the Easton T-Town Showdown hosted by the Crimson Tide.
– Meredith Keel plated the only run in the top of the second with a RBI single, and Olivia Lackie went the distance holding UA to a season-low three hits.
– Keel (.357) recorded her team-best seventh multi-hit effort against the Tide. She is tied for the team lead in doubles (5) and runs scored (9).
– Abby Krzywiecki leads the club with a .389 average, to go along with two doubles, a home run and six RBI.
– Outfielder Mackenzie Brasher has also been solid at the plate as she has a .383 batting average and six multi-hit games. She leads the club in steals as she has been successful in four of her five attempts.
– Kamdyn Kvistad (.359) leads the team with 10 extra-base hits as she has six doubles and four home runs. The senior has also driven in 11 runs this spring and holds a .821 slugging percentage.
– Infielder Belle Wolfenden is also hitting above the .300 mark entering the game with a .306 average, while Kennedy Cronan and Victoria Ortiz each have driven in nine runs apiece.
– Lackie (2.05 ERA) leads the team with seven victories and two shutouts in the circle, including Sunday's 1-0 win over Alabama.
– The freshman is second in the Sun Belt in strikeouts with 84 and is holding opponents to a .165 batting average.
– Senior pitcher Allie Hughen leads the team with a 1.89 earned run average in 37.0 innings of work.
THE SERIES VS. MISSISSIPPI
– South Alabama and Ole Miss have met three previous times in the all-time series.
– The Jaguars hold a 2-1 series advantage and have split the two meetings versus the Rebels in Oxford.

SOUTH AGAINST THE SEC
– South Alabama holds an all-time record of 14-45 (.237) against current Southeastern Conference members.
– The game this weekend against the Crimson Tide will mark the 59th in program history versus a SEC opponent.
– The meeting against Alabama will be the fourth of six scheduled for the Jaguars against the league this spring as South will face LSU (March 24) in Mobile, while also traveling to Ole Miss (March 10).
– The Jags split their two meetings at Georgia during the opening weekend of play at 14th Annual Red & Black Showcase. South fell 8-3 to the Bulldogs in game one, but bounced back to defeat UGA 9-8 in game 2.
– The victory at UGA snapped a streak of 12-straight losses against an SEC opponent, 10 of which had come on the road.
– USA also fell 8-3 to Missouri in Mobile at the South Alabama Invitational, but picked up the program's first-ever victory over second-ranked Alabama in Tuscaloosa on March 7 at the Easton T-Town Showdown defeating the Crimson Tide, 1-0.
– Of the 10 teams South has faced from the SEC, Alabama, Florida and Missouri are the lone teams from the league that the Jags have yet to pick up a win against as they hold at least one victory over the other seven schools that they have faced.
– South has yet to face SEC members Arkansas or Texas A&M.
– The 15 meetings against Alabama are the most against any SEC member, while USA has also faced LSU 13 times and MSU 9.
– South Alabama has faced at least one SEC team in each of its previous 14 seasons of play since the program began in 2007.
IN ROAD "TRUE" GAMES VS. THE SEC
– South Alabama has faced an opponent on their home field 43 times since the beginning of the program in 2007.
– Over that stretch, the Jaguars hold a 9-34 (.209) record in "true" road games against SEC opponents.
– Earlier this season, South snapped a nine-game skid as they defeated Georgia, 9-8 on Feb. 12 at the Red & Black Showcase in Athens.
– On Sunday, South Alabama picked up its first-ever win (1-0) over second-ranked Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
