2021 JAGUAR FIELD POLICIES
– In compliance with CDC and state public health guidance, seating in Jaguar Field is socially-distanced resulting in approximately 25 percent seating capacity this spring.
– Current season tickets holders and home and visitor pass lists are the only fans allowed admittance during the season.
– Face coverings will be required for entry and at all times, except when actively eating and drinking.
– All concession stand transactions are cashless.
– As a reminder, the first row of seats behind home plate, as well as the outfield deck areas are closed to the public for the 2021 season.
– Gates open one hour prior to first pitch.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS    
– South Alabama (13-8, 3-0 SBC) enters the midweek match up versus Southern Miss after sweeping its first Sun Belt series since 2018, defeating App State; 1-0, 7-4 and 4-0 this past weekend.
– Freshman pitcher Olivia Lackie (9-3) tossed a pair of shutouts in the series with the Mountaineers and recorded her first career no-hitter in Sunday's finale.
– For the series, Lackie allowed just one hit (.023 opp. batting avg.), walked two and struck out 31. She struck out multiple batters in all but the third inning of game one of the series, and struck out the side on four occasions.
– In addition to the two shutouts, Lackie also set new season highs in strikeouts in back-to-back outings with 15 and 16, respectively.
– Lackie holds a 1.84 earned run average and ranks fourth nationally in strikeouts with 117. She holds four shutouts this spring and has five double-digit strikeout games.
– Fellow pitcher Allie Hughen also holds an ERA under two (1.94) coming into the week.
– Offensively, South has five players batting .300 or better and are led at the plate by Abby Krzywiecki (.406). The senior has two home runs and 11 RBI with a .656 slugging percentage.
– Krzywiecki enters the week riding a career-best eight-game hit streak.
– Since moving into the leadoff role six games ago, Caroline Nichols (.400) has nine hits and like Krzywiecki has batted .429 over that stretch.
– Mackenzie Brasher (.356) and Meredith Keel (.338) lead the club with seven multi-hit games this spring.
– Kennedy Cronan leads the team in doubles (7) and RBI (13), while Kamdyn Kvistad and Keel each have six doubles.
– Of Kvistad's (.308) 16 hits, 11 have gone for extra bases, including five home runs. The senior has also driven in 12 runs and a team-best .712 slugging percentage.

THE SERIES VS. SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI    
– South Alabama and Southern Mississippi have met 22 previous times in the all-time series.
– The Jaguars hold a 15-6-1 advantage in those meetings. The two teams split the two meetings last spring with each winning on the other's home field.
– The two teams have met in Mobile 11 times in the series with South taking nine of those meetings.
– The lone tie in program history came against USM on Feb. 21, 2009 in Hattiesburg (6-6).
– Wednesday's contest will be the first series meeting this spring between the two programs as the Jaguars are scheduled to travel to Hattiesburg on April 20.
– There have been nine shutouts in the series with the Jags holding five of them.
– Four of the Golden Eagles' five series wins in have been one-run decisions.
– The first game in program history came against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg on Feb. 14, 2007, a 1-0 victory by the Golden Eagles.

– South Alabama holds an all-time record of 98-64-1 (.608) against current Conference USA members.
– Of the 162 previous meetings against the league, 114 came against current CUSA members when they were members of the Sun Belt Conference.
– The Jags went 1-1 last spring against the league falling 3-0 to Middle Tennessee and defeating Florida Atlantic, 3-2 in nine innings.
– South holds a 1-0 record against the league this spring having defeated MT (2-0) at the South Alabama Invitational.
