This will be the 12th meeting between the Tigers and the Jaguars in a nearly even all-time series. The Jags took the lead early in the series with four wins in the first six meetings, but a streak of three gave the team out of Baton Rouge the advantage. The pair has split the last two meetings both taking place in Mobile, as will this game.
USA is 1-1 in the Spring, but 10-4-1 for the 2020 season. South dismantled Nicholls State 8-0 at The Cage last time out with Danielle Fuentes recording the first hat trick for South since the 2015 season. The Jags dropped the first contest of the spring season 1-0 to Southern Miss.
LSU struggled in the regular season as the SEC played a conference-only schedule, but picked up two wins in the SEC tournament and have won three of its last four matches. The Tigers have played one spring game but have Auburn on the schedule prior to coming to Mobile.

- Concessions will be closed, but fans will be allowed to bring bottled water into the venue.
- The Tigers completed a full fall SEC schedule, with a split of conference and non-conference games this spring. In the fall, LSU entered the SEC tournament with an 0-6-2 record, but finding form late have won three of its last four matches in all competitions.
- The only Spring game that has been completed thus far for the Tigers was a 1-nil victory last Friday over Southern Miss at LSU Soccer Stadium.

- Danielle Fuentes was the first Jag in six years to record a hat trick with a trio of goals in her second career appearance.

- Eight points in a single game is tied for fifth in program history.
- Tiara Smith, the most recent Jag to record eight points in a game prior to Fuentes, also recorded eight against Nicholls State.
- Junior Brenna McPartlan started the scoring by pummeling a free kick into the left upper 90 after Laurence Saviana earned a free kick about 23 yards from goal.

THEY SAID IT
Head coach Richard Moodie
- On carrying momentum forward: "They are a very good side, and you cannot read into results because of COVID, injuries and quarantines. For us, it's a very good team and an SEC opponent, but for us it's not just coming off a good result but a very good performance; a much more complete performance from our student-athletes. Nicholls State came in and worked hard, but we made it very difficult for them to play and took the momentum. We need to have that kind of confidence going into Sunday."
- On the team development: "I think we are starting to pick up now and get a little tougher games in. Nicholls State was a great game to play in a lot of respects because we had our full team back and it was the first time we got to see everyone back on the field together. I think the confidence is something we need to see brought out in practice every day but we also need to be humble. We lost to Southern Miss, but we took it well, came back to practice and trained hard. Now we're off the back of a win, but there is still plenty of things we need to work on. Are we going to get 26 chances against LSU? I don't think so, but it would be nice. If we do get a few chances, we need to be more clinical. Confidence should be high, we are coming off a championship in the fall, a good win and a couple good weeks of practice now."
