– In compliance with CDC and state public health guidance, seating in Jaguar Field is socially-distanced resulting in approximately 25 percent seating capacity this spring.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS    
– South Alabama (4-4) enters this weekend's home tournament after winning three of five last weekend at the Jaguar Classic.  
– South picked up a pair of wins on Friday and then split Saturday's two match ups before falling on Sunday. Both losses over the weekend were one-run decisions.
– The four games this weekend will mark the conclusion of nine-straight on the Jags' home field.
– Following Sunday's game, USA will play six-straight on the road prior to returning home to open up Sun Belt play with a three-game series with Appalachian State.
– For their play over the weekend, Olivia Lackie, Mackenzie Brasher, Shelby Sloan and Kamdyn Kvistad were each selected to the all-tournament team.
– In addition to the all-tourney selection, Lackie was named the SBC's Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after picking up a pair of wins in relief and striking out 24 and only issuing three walks.
– Lackie now leads the league in strikeouts with 34, which are 12 more than then next closest pitcher.
– Meredith Keel leads the club at the plate with a .448 batting average, and has had at least one hit in seven of South's first eight games this spring. She was held hitless for the first time this season on Sunday against Lipscomb.
– The Jag third baseman leads the Sun Belt in hits (13) and doubles (3), while also ranking third in the league in runs scored (7) and total bases (18).
– Brasher (.435), Belle Wolfenden (.429) and Kvistad (.400) have also put up solid offensive numbers thus far.
– Brasher's 10 hits are tied for second-best in the conference, while Wolfenden is fifth with nine.
– Wolfenden and Kvistad are also tied with Keel for the league lead in doubles (3). Wolfenden is fourth in the Sun Belt in total bases (17), while Kvistad is right behind her with 12.
– Wolfenden, Sloan and Victoria Ortiz also pace the team with six runs driven in each.
– As a team, South leads the SBC in doubles (18) and triples (4).

THE SERIES VS. MISSOURI    
– South Alabama and Missouri have met just one previous time in the all-time series.
– Last springs meeting during the opening weekend of play at the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic held in Clearwater, Fla., where the Tigers picked up a 7-5 win.

SOUTH AGAINST THE SEC    
– South Alabama holds an all-time record of 13-44 (.228) against current Southeastern Conference members.
– The game this weekend against the Tigers will mark the 58th in program history versus a SEC opponent.
– The meeting against Missouri will be the third of six scheduled for the Jaguars against the league this spring as South will face LSU (March 24) in Mobile, while also traveling to Alabama (March 7) and Ole Miss (March 10).
– The Jags split a pair at Georgia at 14th Annual Red & Black Showcase during the opening weekend of play. South fell 8-3 to the Bulldogs in game one, but bounced back to defeat UGA 9-8 in game 2.
– The victory snapped a streak of 12-straight losses against an SEC opponent, 10 of which had come on the road.
– Of the 10 teams South has faced from the SEC, Alabama, Florida and Missouri are the lone teams from the league that the Jags have yet to pick up a win against as they hold at least one victory over the other seven schools that they have faced.
– South has yet to face SEC members Arkansas or Texas A&M.
– The 15 meetings against Alabama are the most against any SEC member, while USA has also faced LSU 13 times and MSU 9.
– South Alabama has faced at least one SEC team in each of its previous 14 seasons of play since the program began in 2007.

THE SERIES VS. MIDDLE TENNESSEE    
– South Alabama and Middle Tennessee have met 25 other times in the all-time series with the Jags holding a 16-9 advantage.
– MTSU snapped South's series win streak at The Spring Games held in Madiera Beach, Fla., as it defeated USA, 3-0.
– Prior to the loss to the Blue Raiders last spring, South had won the last nine meetings in the series with four of those being run-rule contests and two others decided by eight runs. The three other games during that stretch had been one-run decisions.
– All but two of those previous meetings came either during Sun Belt Conference regular season or tournament play.

– South Alabama holds an all-time record of 24-10 (.706) against current Ohio Valley Conference members.
– The Jaguars has already faced one OVC member this season splitting their two meetings with Murray State last weekend at the Jaguar Classic. USA won game one, 4-2, but fell, 1-0 Saturday to the Racers.
– South has yet to face three league members: Eastern Illinois, Moorehead State and Tennessee-Martin.
– Jacksonville State and Eastern Kentucky announced earlier this spring that this will be their final seasons as OVC members as they are scheduled to join the Atlantic Sun Conference during the 2021-22 season.

AT THE SOUTH ALABAMA INVITATIONAL    
– South Alabama has hosted the South Alabama Invitational six previous seasons, but this will mark the first time the Jags have hosted a tournament by that name since the 2017 season.
– In their six previous South Alabama Invitationals, the Jaguars have posted a 14-10 (.583) record, but have won their last five tournament games.
