The Jaguars and Colonels will be playing for the ninth time in the series this Sunday with South Alabama never dropping a meeting in the series. While USA has an advantage in the series, the pair have not played since August of 2014, with the pair tying the meeting prior when South travelled to Thibodaux, La.

USA dropped its opening contest of the spring after the home opener became a road match due to field conditions and a suitable replacement being unavailable. Southern Miss benefitted from an unassisted goal by Jenny Caracheo as the only score registered in the match.

NSU enters Sunday after two matches were postponed scheduled for this weekend. Originally playing two Southland Conference matches against Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston, the pair of matches were pushed back into March. With the open weekend, the Colonels will come to Mobile, Ala., on the fly.

NOTES
- A week after the home opener was reassigned to be an away game, the Jaguars open the spring home campaign with Nicholls State after the Montevallo match was cancelled due to Gulf South Conference rescheduling.

- The Colonels have played three games this spring with three more being postponed. THEY SAID IT
Head coach Richard Moodie

- On Southern Miss and moving forward: "We weren't good enough on the day. We did not play our style of game. We made it look like a basketball game at times, we could not get ahold of the ball and keep it. We are excited to be back in training and we will go again."

- On Danielle Fuentes and Laurence Saviana: "Both are fantastic players and individuals, but it was hard as we had trained all week with them at certain positions and we had some last-minute changes in the lineup to where we had to play them out of position and I think that kind of knocked us out of rhythm a little bit, but both student athletes are great to be around and the team loves them."
