MOBILE, Ala. –  After improving his own University of South Alabama track and field record, freshman Kyle Rademeyer has been voted the Sun Belt Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, as the league office announced on Thursday afternoon.

Competing in the Jaguar Invitational hosted by South Alabama last Sunday, the Paarl, South Africa, native posted a 5.53m mark to earn a victory in the pole vault. Rademeyer has set a new school record and ranks first in the conference in the same event.

The Jaguars will compete in the Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championship at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Feb. 22 and 23.
