MOBILE, Ala. – Road games at Alabama and Wichita State highlight the 2021-22 University of South Alabama men's basketball non-conference schedule announced on Tuesday.
 
USA will open the season against cross-town opponent Spring Hill (Nov. 9) before a two-game road swing at Wichita State (Nov. 13) and 14^th-ranked Alabama (Nov. 16).
 
The Jags return home with matchups against Mobile (Nov. 20) and William Carey (Nov. 22). South will then head to Las Vegas, Nev., for the Las Vegas Classic with an opening round matchup with San Diego (Nov. 25). South Alabama will take on either Hawaii or Illinois-Chicago in the next round (Nov. 26).
 
USA wraps up its non-conference schedule with four of its last six at the Mitchell Center. The Jags host Texas A&M-Commerce (Nov. 29), Southern Miss (Dec. 1), Tarleton State (Dec. 14) and SIU-Edwardsville (Dec. 21).
 
In between, South will travel to Jacksonville State (Dec. 4) and to Tarleton State (Dec. 14).
 
The Jags will begin conference play on the road against UTA on Dec. 30.

The Jaguars advanced to the second round of the conference tournament last season, finishing 17-11 and a 10-7 record in league play.
