THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Richie Riley
-
Opening Statement: "We didn't do enough to win. Our margin of error to win games is very small. We have got to get those loose balls, we have got to box out, we have got to rebound and we have to do a better job making layups and getting to the free throw line. We have to be dialed in and tough and we weren't tonight. We did not make nearly enough winning plays tonight and it obviously showed with the final score."
-
On Michael Flowers: "The scouting report on [Michael] Flowers is they crowd him and dare him to drive the ball. We have to get him to play off two feet in the paint to keep them honest. Tonight he was unable to do that."
-
On the performance tonight: "Our percentages were as bad as they have been I think, and I give anyone we play credit, but a lot was self-inflicted. We missed a lot of shots in the paint, and we came up empty with no free throws or points too many times. We missed a lot of clean looks and we have to be able to make. There's so many plays in the middle where you have to make them to win the game, and they made all of them while we made basically none. It was obvious."
