MOBILE, Ala. – Due to overnight rains and field conditions, the final day of the Jaguar Challenge has been canceled. South Alabama finishes the weekend with a 3-0 record after a pair of thrilling one-run victories on Saturday.
Four Jaguars were named to the all-tournament team – Katelyn Gruich, Amanda Flynn, Kamdyn Kvistad and Lexi Hutchins.
For the weekend, Gruich batted .667 as she was 4-for-6 at the plate with a pair of doubles, three runs scored and three runs driven in. Additionally, Gruich drew a pair of walks and was hit by pitch three times. Gruich also scored the game-winning run against Evansville on Saturday night.
Flynn also had a good weekend at the plate as she had five hits in her eight at-bats for a .635 average. Flynn also scored a pair of runs and drove in two, while also having a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the plate in game one on Saturday.
Kvistad hit .600 in her three games as she was 6-for-10. The junior scored four times, drove in three and had a pair of doubles. She was the tying run against Austin Peay on Saturday in South's three-run sixth inning.
Hutchins came out of the bullpen to pick up both wins in Saturday's one-run victories over Austin Peay and Evansville.

- South Alabama (4-5) will now head to Lake Charles, La., on Tuesday for a midweek contest versus McNeese State. First pitch versus the Cowgirls is set for 6 p.m. at Cowgirl Diamond.
