QUOTES
Head Coach Mark Calvi

- On Caleb Yarborough's effort:
"(Caleb) Yarborough was really good. I was going to let him go to 85 pitches and run back out there for the seventh (inning), but I didn't. My first concern is always their health, and I err on the side of caution with someone coming off of injury. He's probably mad at me for not sending him out for the seventh, and that's good; I want him to be mad at me for not sending him out there, because that means he wants to pitch. I was very proud of his effort. He keeps us in every ballgame, and he's done that all year long with the exception of that Alabama start. He's been great for us."

- On the series:
"When you look back at the body of work and you take two out of three (games), I would have signed up for that on Thursday. But when you're in a position to win all three, this one leaves a bad taste in your mouth, especially since it was 1-1 going into the seventh (inning). It's the way it happened. We left some men on base and had some scoring opportunities, but Connor Reich had his hand in that. He is as good as we have seen, and he is probably their (Texas State) best guy. He is going to win a lot of games, and I think they have a big chance at winning the (Sun Belt) West Division. That's a very good ball club and we feel very fortunate. There are some areas we need to clean up. We probably need two more pitchers to show up who can help us late in the game so we don't have to keep going to the same guys, and we need a couple of hitters to step up. It was good to get Eddie Paparella in there; it is great having him back. And Colton Thomas is starting to see the ball a little better. Santi Montiel swung the bat very well, and Wells Davis hit the ball hard today. There's some areas we need to be better in moving forward, because our schedule doesn't get any easier."
