MOBILE, Ala. – After dropping the doubles point, The University of South Alabama women's tennis team bounced back with four singles wins and remain undefeated with a 4-2 victory over Southern Mississippi Saturday at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts.

The Jaguars improve to 10-0 while the Golden Eagles fall to 6-1.

DOUBLES
-Yu Fujioka and Yurie Takanishi fell to Ebru Zeynep Yazgan and Rikeetha Pereira 6-1 on court 2.
-Alexandria Stiteler and Nikola Kohoutova defeated Katia De La Garza and Monique Burton 7-6 at No. 3.
-Arina Amaning and Tjasa Jerse clinched the doubles point for the Eagles, downing Patricia Martins and Milka Pasanen 7-6 on court 1.

SINGLES
-Pasanen opened singles play dropping Anastasija Cabanoci 6-0, 6-4 on court 5.
-De La Garza put USM back in the lead with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4 vs. Kohoutova.
-Martins bounced back with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Yazgan on court 6.
-Leslie Soto secured another point, besting Jerse 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3.
-Stiteler clinched the win for the Jaguars by defeating Amaning 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 on court 1.

NOTES
-South Alabama has won 59 straight matches at home
-Martins remained undefeated on the year in singles at 9-0 but Kohoutova lost her first singles match of the year to fall to 7-1
-USA is 24-0 in its history vs. USM
-The Jags gave up the doubles point for the first time this season.
