BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 16 LSU swept doubles and won three singles matches in straight sets to defeat the University of South Alabama women's tennis team 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the LSU Tennis Complex.

The Tigers improve to 9-2 while the Jaguars have their season-opening 10-match win streak snapped and fall to 10-1.

DOUBLES
-Paris Corley and Taylor Bridges, ranked No. 57 by the ITA, struck first against sophomore Nikola Kohoutova and senior Alexandria Stiteler, winning 6-4 on court 3
-Anna Loughlan and Kennan Johnson put the Tigers up 1-0 on court 2, defeating sophomore Yu Fujioka and freshman Yurie Takanishi 6-3

SINGLES
-Corley doubled the LSU advantage on court 4 with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Kohoutova
-Johnson downed junior Leslie Soto 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3
-No. 15 Eden Richardson clinched the match on court 1 vs. Stiteler, 6-2, 6-4

NOTES
-The two schools have split the last four meetings, but LSU leads the all-time series 5-2
-USA has lost five straight matches to nationally-ranked opponents
