2016-17: 13-6 overall, all in dual matches… 1-0 at No. 3, 6-2 at No. 4, 6-4 at No. 5… Won her first four matches, and seven of first eight of the spring season… Lost just seven games total in first three wins of the season, and finished streak off with 6-3, 7-5 victory over Arianna Beltrame of Samford… After suffering first loss, dropped just four games in next three wins, including 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Ariel Dickson of Jackson State on No. 3 court… Clinched the Jaguars’ Sun Belt semifinal win over Georgia State, defeating Anatasia Grosheva 7-5, 5-7, 6-2… Went 4-2 against league opponents.
15-4 in doubles overall, all in dual matches… 14-4 at No. 1, 1-0 at No. 2… Second Team all-Sun Belt Conference with Laura Valkova… Lost spring opener to No. 22 Texas A&M but reeled off seven straight wins with three via shutout… Blanked teams from Louisiana-Lafayette, Samford and Jacksonville State, and defeated teams from Nicholls State and Jackson State 6-1… Lost three straight, including two to ranked schools, but finished season with eight-match win streak… Won only finished match in Sun Belt Tournament in semifinals vs. Georgia State… Martins and Valkova were only Jaguar doubles team to go undefeated vs. league teams (6-0).
