– The Jaguar Challenge will be the first of two straight home tournaments as South will also host the Mardi Gras Invitational next weekend (Feb. 22-25).
– Offensively, junior outfielder/designated player Brittani Reid went 4-for-11 (.364) with a walk and a hit-by-pitch over the weekend, recording a double and a triple to go along with two RBI.

THEY SAID IT
Head coach Becky Clark

- On building off the opening weekend of action: "We have to own the good and the bad from last weekend. I thought there were bright spots all weekend, we just never sustained them. We know we are better than we played so this week of practice has been a chance for us to get back where we need to be fundamentally and move forward. It comes down to taking care of the little things and being mentally consistent."
- On playing nine of the next 10 at home: "I never felt like we settled in this past weekend and I think that being able to play on our home field and have our normal routine will help with that aspect. I look forward to this stretch of our season because we get so many opportunities to play in front of our home crowd. We have such great support from our fans so to be able to play in front of our home crowd is a huge boost for us."
