MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of South Alabama women's tennis added another win to their streak with a 6-1 win over West Alabama Wednesday afternoon at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts.

The Jags improve to 7-0 on the season, while the Tigers fall to 2-3.

DOUBLES
- Alexandria Stiteler and Nikola Kohoutova downed Haina Franco and Sarah Manseri, 6-3 on court two.
- Patricia Martins and Milka Pasanen secured the doubles point defeating Georgina Salom and Andrea Tomassone, 6-4 at court one.
- In other doubles news, Yurie Takanishi and Diana Monsalve went 7-5 against Liliana Araucz and Daryna Hukasian to finish out doubles play.

SINGLES
- Stiteler opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win against Hukasian on court one.
- Martins dropped Araucz 6-1, 6-1 at No. six.
- Pasanen bested Salom 6-3, 6-2 on court four, and Kohoutova clinched a 6-0, 5-7, 10-6 point for the Jags over Franco.
- Leslie Soto fell 5-7, 6-2, 10-6 to Manseri on court two for West Alabama's lone point of the day. 
- Monsalve secured the final singles point for the Jags with a 6-3, 6-3 win against Tomassone at No. five

NOTES
- The 7-0 mark by the Jaguars is the best start for the team since the 2015 season. 
- Martins and Pasanen are 4-0 at No. one for doubles, while Martins is a team-best 6-0 in singles.

On the match: "Bad start in doubles today, really bad start and some of it's how we came out. We expected to roll through this team but they have some good girls and it's a few things we need to smooth out, but I liked the way we started out in singles and we played some good tennis towards the end."
